Interpretive Notes
Collectors call this pattern Roman Rosette but its original name and manufacturer are not known. It was probably made in several factories in both the East and Midwest since it is relatively common and occurs in many sizes and colors. Fragments of the pattern were found at the Sandwich factory site.
Physical DescriptionPlate. Opalescent glass; pressed. Circular shape; arched edge formed of group of six scallops with a diamond point between; rim design with a series of diamond filled linked circles with a nine-pointed sunburst in center, filled with diamonds.
