Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; mold-blown, enameled, gilt. Straight- sided, cylindrical form; gilt band at the rim; oval panel on the side, bearing a black-enameled portrait of a man, wearing a loop earring, and heavy, soft coat; in a two-color gilt rectangular frame with cross-hatched corners, one corner with the signature "F. Siebel."; formal foliate scrolls on the back, with the script inscription "Maximilian Joseph/Konig von/Baiern./1823."; polished, flat bottom.
