Physical DescriptionLarge canes with opaque white spiral in a translucent amethyst matrix with streaks of colorless glass, bubbly with heavy pitting and some brilliant iridescence as well as heavy white weathering crust especially over white glass spirals; mold-pressed, mosaic glass technique with wheel-cut grooves. Deep bowl, round rim, straight-sided vessel with wheel-cut groove on interior just below the rim, two more close together emphasizing lower body where the wall bends in more sharply to form a rounded bottom and flattened base; exterior decorated with a series of twenty-four narrow mold-pressed ribs beginning ca. 1.5 cm. below the rim and tapering sharply toward the flattened base.Provenance
