Physical DescriptionCovered Container, "Bees Casket". Almost opaque white, translucent polychrome 25% lead glasses; pâte de verre. Six-sided covered container; flat lid has striped border of white, amber, blues and greens surrounding trompe l'oiel block patterning in opal, amber, yellow and brown, five bees with striated colorless wings stand in half-relief (three with red bodies, two with black bodies); underside of lid has same patterning and only the three red-bodied bees in half-relief, green striated six-sided flange; six-flattened sides of deep container extend from flat triangular base, vessel composed of almost opaque opal striated with pale amethyst, orange and green, rim ground flat; inscribed in script on underside of lid: "Shin/1990".
