Physical DescriptionColorless, transparent deep blue, amber, opaque white non-lead glass, acrylic paint; mold-blown (metal mold), hot-worked, engraved, painted (wing). Sculpture in the form of a boat; flat crescent-shaped sculpture of thick colorless glass blown into-semicircular mold, decorated with wide blue marvered striations, one side has two thin stripes of amber and scattered short sections of white, top has scattered areas of abrading/engraving strokes, at right of center of top is a large hot-worked amber reclining figure supported by a wedge of glass, one outstretched arm, the other arm is broken off and is continued by an engraved and stained amber feathered wing that wraps from top surface down "front" side of the boat; at left of center the top surface has rectangular indentation to hold (b), base of boat has wide rough ovoid opening ground flat; (b) small "building" with pointed roof of thick mold-blown colorless with white lining, embedded in white on broad flat side is a copper wire "quasi-snowshoe" shape that has created streaks of brown, black and amber in the glass; open rectangular base ground and semi-polished flat; inscribed in script near base opening: "90/Ursula Huth".Provenance
