Physical DescriptionTranslucent dark blue bubbly glass; mold-blown, rim reworked. Conical with rounded base; plain rim, re-heated and flattened; body blown into six-piece mold, then inflated further; ornament consists of zone of vertical ribs above irregular honeycomb pattern; below rim, three equidistant wheel-cut perforations, secondary but apparently ancient, to facilitate suspension. When published first (in 1957) vessel was associated with copper or copper alloy hook and chains for suspension, latter consisted of hook attached to element with one vertical and three horizontal members; chain, 13-16 cm long, attached to each horizontal member; at chain ends, final links open to form hooks for attachment to body.
