Physical DescriptionClear glass with few bubbles; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Straight-sided slightly tapering beaker, slightly concave base with very rough pontil mark. (A) The double shield in multicolored enamel, the coat of arms of the King of France, surmounted by a royal crown and flanked by the date "1604"; on top: "REX FRANCIAE"; on the reverse and above and below the date, star-like ornaments with yellow and red dots in the center and radiating spirals, fleurs-de-lis and dashes, around rim a gilded band accompanied by a row of white dots. (B) On the obverse, in multicolored enamel, a crowned coat of arms with fleurs-de-lis against a blue background and a diagonal checker band in white and red; flanking the shield the date "1645"; above: "COM EBUROVICI" (Count Eburovici ?); the remaining decoration is identical to (A).
