Physical DescriptionSemi-transparent deep blue and colorless glasses; gold; blown, applied, gilded, ground and polished. Container with cover. (a) Container deep blue: rim rounded, apparently formed from applied trail, with seating for cover; neck short, tapering; wall convex, curving outward to greatest diameter at mid-point between rim and base, tapering and curving in at bottom; base ground and polished, plain, with broad, shallow concavity at center. Wall decorated with four continuous horizontal rows of six circular prunts pulled outward and upward at center, arranged in quincunx. Two paper labels attached to bottom, inscribed: "2273" and "5". (b) Cover: deep blue disk with colorless gilded knob. Disk flat on upper surface, with rounded edge, underside thickens slightly at center, which is ground and polished flat; knop solid, with spherical finial resting on truncated conical base; gilding is discontinuous, with numerous cracks.
