Physical DescriptionFragment of Bowl. Opaque purple(?), appearing black; decorated in pale yellow. Blown; stained. Fragment of roughly hemispherical bowl. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall (Th. 0.2 cm) curves smoothly down and in, with horizontal rib, presumably continuous, 0.9 cm below lip. Decorated on both sides. On interior: just below rim, band of adjoining lunettes; below these, one horizontal stripe (W. 0.4 cm), presumably continuous, forming border of broad band of vegetal scroll; surviving part of scroll has tendril springing from outside of scroll and terminating in pair of half-palmettes. On exterior: scattered patches, mostly small. Stain varies between pale greenish yellow and light brown, with some purplish highlights.Provenance
