Physical DescriptionFragment of Bowl. Almost colorless, with bluish tinge; many very small bubbles; decorated in semitransparent brown and opaque brownish yellow. Blown; stained. Fragment of perhaps hemispherical bowl. Lower wall (Th. 0.1 cm) curves down and in; base plain (Th. up to 0.3 cm), with slightly concave underside; pontil mark (D. 0.8 cm). Decorated on both sides. On exterior: lower wall has horizontal brown band, presumably continuous, containing birds, represented by long legs and feet of one and leg and part of foot of another, alternating with vegetal motifs, perhaps with schematic half-palmettes; groundline also serves as border for concentric medallion (D. about 7 cm) on floor. On interior: at center, four intersecting brownish yellow stripes making eight-pointed star.Provenance
