Physical DescriptionNecklace, "Space". Colorless, transparent yellow, amber, dark gray non-lead scrap glasses, natural terracotta of clay, black glaze; glass fused on bisqued and glazed ceramic base (two firings), forged and fabricated silver, "plastic steel" used in holes of ceramic base to secure wire to clay. Neckpiece of curved sterling wire beaten flat and turned under at both ends linked by small rings and a straight length of wire beaten flat and turned under at ends; openwork pendant structure supported by two short silver lengths with same end treatment, hangs from straight length and is comprised of fifteen lozenge shapes in various sizes and colors placed vertically and horizontally and connected at right angles by short sections of wire; each lozenge or glass "stone" formed of a pad of glazed clay covered with crackled glass in various colors with black showing through background, smallest "stones" located around perimeter of pendant design; signature not located.
