Physical DescriptionTransparent turqoise non-lead scrap glass, blue/black glaze, terra cotta colored clay; metallic silver; clay formed by hand, bisque fired, glazed on one side and set with broken colored glass then fired again; hammered silver wire; adhesive used to attach wire to clay. Ring with rectangular (rounded corners) glass "stone" of crazed aquamarine on glazed ceramic pad, edges of glass seem to be ground, polished and slightly beveled; ends of silver wire mount embedded in ceramic pad, parts of wire hammered flat in some places, hammered wire sweeps around "stone" then spirals to form three circle finger ring (space between each circle); impressed on back of clay: "S (then obscured)".Provenance
