Physical DescriptionDeep blue translucent, white opaque, and light yellow opaque glasses; three sections of spirally twisted cane reheated, wound once around mandrel to form rings that were placed side by side, and tooled; fourth cane section placed over central ring, wound until its ends overlapped, then tooled. Ring: large, with triangular cross section and tapering circular perforation (D. 2.7-2.9 cm). It consists of four fused rings of identical blue canes spirally twisted with white and yellow to make repeating sequence of narrow or wider blue stripe, narrow white stripe, narrow blue stripe, narrow white stripe, narrow blue stripe, and narrow yellow stripe. Three rings are side by side; fourth ring overlies middle ring of three. Perforation has patches of matte, deep gray material, presumably kiln wash from mandrel.
