Physical DescriptionColorless; cut, printed, cold-painted, glued. Slides consisting of two rectangles of colorless sheet glass framed in green paper tape around edges. The slides are divided into printed segments separated by vertical lines. The two scenes on the left illustrate the story of the Devil in the Bottle. Left illustration No 8 is largely missing. The next segment shows the next scene shows the text in the panel to the far right explains: "N 8. La voila qui raffolle de moi le/ Diable s'y connait: son moyer est excellent./ N 9. C'est Mr. Polichinel qui sera mon/ genêt il est riche et vous n'avez pas/ le sous aller aller!/ N 10 J'ai tout perdu me voila/ ruiné se fripon de Polichinel à une/ chance du diable. Je crois bien/ cert le diable qui me montre ses/ tours.Provenance
