Physical DescriptionWineglass. Colorless glass; free-blown, cut, gilded and enameled. Deep slender bowl with sides rising, from narrow base, in ogee curve about 2.5 cm, then spreading to rim, inverted baluster stem, slightly sloping circular foot with smooth base; decoration: gold band on inside and outside rim; on bowl, sides cut in 16 narrow flat panels rising from small facets at base; polychrome enameled small landscape vignette-including 18th century gentleman reclining under a tree and another pointing at a castle in right background, and, on reverse, a rose with leaves; on stem, small triangular facets cut at top of baluster and six tapering panels on sides; on base of foot, circlet of petals.
