Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt. Tapered, straight-sided shape; plain gilt band at the rim; band of small white enamel dots below; the sides with enameled red and white coat of arms on a shield; male and female figures at the right and left; inscribed "IONNES.TAMATZ./ANNO.1.6.1.0" above the shield; inscribed in white on the reverse "Wen du trinckest aus/ diesem glas allezeit/Solt du gedencken das/Asche und Sandt ist es/gewessen und also/wirst auch werden/wen dich Gott wird sordern/von der Erden"; stylized green turf and plants below, the a plain red enamel band at the base; concave base with rough pontil mark; inscribed in black enamel alongside the pontil mark "F.H.4.".
