Physical DescriptionColorless with a blue tint non-lead glass, aluminosilicate, stainless steel; mold blown by machine; pressed; (a) spherical shape; machine finished top rim with pinched and curled lip; body has a channel around its circumference at its widest point; metal band in channel, band stamped with "BOIL DRY OR USE ON ELECTRIC RANGE/WITHOUT GRID WILL CAUSE BREAKAGE," "STAINLESS," PYREX trademark, and item number "8336;" detachable handle attached to body by metal band and screws, "8336-H/A-36" and PYREX trademark pressed into handle; flat base with PYREX FLAMEWARE trademark including item number "8446B" and inscription "LAST PRODUCTION/ 4BTK 5-22-79;" (b) round knob; rim of greater diameter than cylindrical body; PYREX trademark and item number "7756-C 0-9" pressed into insert; insert has two semicircular extensions, one opposite the other.Provenance
