Physical DescriptionTranslucent and transparent white opalescent glass; free-blown and enameled. (a) Conical folded foot with pontil mark applied to short stem supporting the spherical body that tapers to cylindrical neck with flaring rim; (b) large ball stopper with long cylindrical "neck" fitting in the neck of the vase; multicolored enameled decoration: a frieze around body with a lion (yellow) and an "acanthus" wreath, accompanied at top and bottom by rings and wavy lines (red, green, blue), a leaf wreath around neck, two large leaf and flower sprays on stopper.Provenance
