Physical DescriptionOpaque medium blue glass, some pitting on interior; cast, lathe-cut and wheel-cut on exterior. Fragment preserves base and lower vessel body of an extraordinarily thin globular wall which tapers into a lathe-turned base; the exterior has been cut into a simple cylindrical form with a half round groove elaborating the surface. On the underside, a concave profile highlights a countersunk circle in the center of the foot. The exterior surface of the body seems to have been finished by wheel-cutting as irregular polishing surfaces can readily bee seen.
