Physical DescriptionClear glass with very slight grey tinge and minute bubbles and impurities; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Cylindrical body with high pushed up base having rough pontil mark, applied foot ring; enamel decoration: the double headed eagle in black and white, with blue orb of state and yellow cross; on the wings the multicolored coats-of-arms of the parts of the Holy Roman Empire, below rim a gold band with scale pattern and blue central beads accompanied by four rows of white and blue beads, white dashes on the foot ring; below the gold band: "Dasz helige Romische Reich Mitt Sampt Seinen Gliedern 1596"; a white star ornament below the date; an old catalogue number in white on the base: "116".
