Physical DescriptionColorless, black ink or paint; blown in mold with two vertical parts, painted. Bottle: square. Narrow flange rim with flat top and vertical edge, and wide mouth; neck short and cylindrical, with slight taper; shoulder descends in three steps; wall vertical, with bevel at bottom; base plain. Mold seams visible on shoulder above junctions of sides 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. Wall has depressed molded decoration on all four sides: (1) combined cross and anchor; upper part consists of three arms of equal length, each with short crossbar near end, while lower part has longer shaft/shank and, at bottom, two curved arms with triangular flukes; perched on each horizontal arm of cross, bird seen in profile facing inward; on each side of shaft/shank, fish shown vertically, that on left with head up and that on right with head down; between each fish and arm of anchor, palm frond which curves up from bottom of shaft/shank and terminates near horizontal arm of cross; (2) cross-crosslet; (3 and 4) as 2. Underside of base has square recess decorated with rosette consisting of sixteen narrow, impressed petals. Ornament on side 1 emphasized by filling it with black ink or paint; side 3 has smear of similar ink or paint near bottom right corner.
