Physical DescriptionVase, "Commemorative Vase Celebrating 400 Years of Glassmaking in Stourbridge, 1612-2012". Transparent purple and colorless glass, multicolored Paradise paints; blown, painted, cased. Cylindrical vase rounded slightly at bottom and tapering slightly toward rim. Interior layer of vase made of transparent purple glass decorated with painted inscriptions and images, including: the Red House Glass Cone/Ruskin Glass Centre, Corning Glass Works, The Corning Museum of Glass, and The Broadfield House Glass Museum, and various references to The Portland Vase. Vase is cased in thick layer of colorless glass.Provenance
