Physical DescriptionTransparent very pale yellowish green glass, with few bubbles; blown in two parts (rim and “well” free-blown; body blown in dip mold); parts fused; handles applied. Inkwell; body has square horizontal cross section. Rim and well consist of disk (D. 3.6 cm), with rounded lip and, at center, open-ended tube (D. 1.2 cm) extending downward for about 2 cm below top of rim. Body has rounded shoulder; all four sides are identical, with straight, slightly tapering sides; base flat; pontil mark (D. 1 cm). Rim and body are fused. Four small handles were dropped onto tops of angles between each pair of sides, drawn up and in, and attached to edge of rim.
