Physical DescriptionClear bubbly glass with many impurities and green tinge; wear marks at base; free-blown, enameled and gilded. Almost cylindrical body with slight bulge in upper part, high pushed up base having rough pontil mark applied foot ring; enamel decoration: the object is divided in two zones, each subdivided into upright rectangles framed by yellow, red and blue lines and containing the multicolored figures of twelve apostles; each rectangle contains an apostle in full length with his attributes and with a ribbon inscribed above with his name; "S. PETRUS, ANDREAS, IACOB. D. GROSE, JOHANNES, PHILLIPUS, BARTOLOMEUS"; in the upper zone: "S. THOMAS, MATHEUS, JACOB. D. KLEINE, SIMON, JUDAS THADEUS, MATHIAS"; in the lower zone, below rim a gilded band (partly rubbed off) studded with red dots and accompanied by four rows of white and blue dots, white dashes on the foot ring.Provenance
