Physical DescriptionColorless glass with few small bubbles; blown, wheel-cut ("etched" technique). Hemispherical bowl; rim everted; side curves smoothly inward towards bottom; narrow base, slightly concave. Exterior covered with wheel-cut decoration arranged in horizontal zones with incised borders, with circular medallion on base; from top to bottom: groups of short transverse lines immediately under lip; two "horizontal" lines, not perfectly parallel; on lower part of rim; narrow zone of cross-hatching; narrow band of thirty-one lozenges with double outlines, separated by single or double vertical lines; broad zone of six kantharos-like motifs, separated by (in two cases) one or (in four cases) two human heads seen in profile; narrow band of cross-hatching; narrow band of chevrons; medallion containing "star" composed of eight contiguous lozenges radiating from central point, with hatched arc between each pair of lozenges.
