Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; mold-blown, cut, double-walled, gilt, silvered, painted. (a) Flared, double-walled form; the inner cup silvered and gilt, with cut decoration of cross-hatched swags, grooved triangular facets, plain and grooved panels, ovals and triangles with cut stars and cross-hatching, and notched base rim; the outer cup with painted black foliate scrolls against a silver ground; rounded foot rim, plain base; applied gilt loop handle, polished at the basal terminal. (b) Shallow, circular form, with upcurved sides; silvered and gilt on the exterior; cut band of vertical grooves at the rim on the exterior, with a band of cut nailhead diamonds and panels below; cut star in the center; the exterior covered with gold paint.
