Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Bottle. Transparent deep blue glass; blown, scratch-engraved. Bottom of wall (Th. 0.35 cm at top of fragment) curves down and in toward base (Th. 0.5 cm at bottom of fragment). Exterior is decorated with three bands of scratch-engraved ornament separated by narrow undecorated strips (from top to bottom): (1) small surviving part is covered with transverse hatching; (2) row of plain upright isosceles triangles alternating with vertically hatched inverted isosceles triangles; and (3) row of adjoining tongues, which radiate from center of object and have rounded ends; area between ends of tongues and border is filled with transverse hatching.
