Physical DescriptionFragment with Birds. Transparent pale bluish green glass, with few minute bubbles and specks of stone. Blown; pincered. Fragment from rim and wall of vessel. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall almost vertical, but curving in at bottom. Pincered decoration consists of two identical birds standing and facing right, and part of another identical bird. Each bird is rendered schematically: head has beak and eye, body is small, with two short, almost vertical legs and forked tail. Two complete birds overlap; immediately behind them is head of another bird. Decoration is also impressed on interior of vessel.
