Physical DescriptionTranslucent mint green glass, metal, textile wick; pressed, assembled. (a) Translucent mint green pressed glass lamp base with perforated metal burner base with textile wick and knob that reads, "MANTLE LAMP CO. / NU-TYPE / Model B / Aladdin / PATENTS PENDING / MADE IN U.S.A. / CHICAGO, ILL.". Base has hollow short cylindrical font with pressed decorative vertical panels around side, hollow pedestal stem with vertical ribs, and hexagonal foot. Circular opening on top of font with threaded metal socket into which cap (d) fits. (b) Perforated metal outer wick tube. (c) Colorless glass chimney etched, "Aladdin" near top. (d) Threaded metal cap that fits into socket in font (a).
