Physical DescriptionColorless, opaque white, and translucent dark pink glass, metal, textile wick; pressed, acid-etched, assembled. (a) Opaque white pressed glass base with hollow pillar stem and circular terraced foot with scalloped bottom edge. Top of stem is threaded to fit with font. (b) Flattened bulbous translucent dark pink font with eight lobes and decorative pressed design. Surface of glass is acid-etched to produce a matte finish. Threaded metal sockets fixed on top and bottom of font. (c) Metal wick holder with hinged top and textile wick. Side of holder stamped, "BANNER". Side of knob stamped, "P. & A. MFG CO. / MADE IN / U.S.A. / WATERBURY. CONN.". (d) Colorless glass chimney with scalloped rim.
