Interpretive Notes
Wang Qin takes the “four treasures” of the classical Chinese study—the tools of Chinese calligraphy that denote a cultivated life—and unusually translates them into glass. As such, he gives them added layers of meaning in a culture in which materials are deeply embedded with metaphorical associations. -Aric Chen Instagram: @wangqinstudio WeChat: wangqinstudio
