Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Oil Can #1". (a) Opaque medium blue glass cased in colorless glass, found objects; blown, applied. Dome-shaped base with hole in top. Exterior decorated with swipes of paint, cane slices, sections of canes, and square glass bottles with metal caps. Bottles are filled with various colors of paint or bits of glass frit. (b) Colorless, dark rose or pink, and greenish-aqua glass, found objects; blown, applied. Greenish-aqua conical sculpture top with rosy-pink "base" section from which a colorless conical section protrudes, which fits into the hole in the blue dome. Exterior of green section decorated with pencils, cane sections, and swipes of paint. Exterior of pink section decorated with scrabble tiles, canes slices, and swipes of paint. Rubber gasket fixed to colorless portion.Provenance
