Interpretive NotesThe Scottish engraver Sir Muirhead Bone trained in Glasgow, and he was widely known for his engravings of architectural subjects. During World War I and World War II, he served as an official artist with the British armed forces, and he was knighted in 1937. In 1936, he published Old Spain, a two-volume collection of his watercolors and drawings.
