Physical Description"Adam and Eve" Vase from the "Twenty-Seven Artists in Crystal" Series. Colorless lead glass; blown, applied decoration, engraved. Tall, tapering cylindrical vase body with slightly flaring rim. Applied scroll-shaped stem and round flat foot. Engraved design of a nude male figure (Adam) with foliate tree branches behind him that climb up the vase.Provenance

Kevin McNamara, an American glass dealer from Connecticut called Kelly Conway, who directed him to Tina Oldknow, at the beginning of March, 2015. Kevin bought the pair of vases online as "inventory," because he sells a lot of early Steuben glass. The person he purchased them from said that he got them from his grandparents. Kevin has had the pair of vases for a year or so, but had not offered them to anyone. When he read that the Museum was interested in collecting the series, he contacted us.
