Physical DescriptionSnuff Box. Opaque blue, brown, aventurine; ground and polished glass, gilded, chased and engraved metal. A circular snuff box of gilded copper, chased and engraved with scrolls, fruits and flowers. The hinged lid set with 4 pieces of polished glass, representing a fleur de lis. The opaque blue glass segment appears to imitate lapis lazuli, two striated brown segments appear to imitate agate or jasper, and the fourth segment is aventurine glass.
