Interpretive Notes
This lightweight fused-silica mirror is similar to the mirror of the Hubble telescope. Like the Hubble mirror, it was made to be launched into space. From beyond our atmosphere, in the clear, airless reaches of space, the Hubble searches for the edge of the universe - and the beginning of time.
