Physical DescriptionTranslucent deep blue, colorless, opaque white and opaque red glass, pitted with a thin iridescent film flaking off edges and back, surface repolished recently; mosaic glass technique. Fragment preserves rectangular strip of colorless glass cased with opaque white and sandwiched between two layers of blue, original shape of the strip may have been somewhat different but has been ground down and polished revealing a colorless glass band over the opaque red; exterior is heavily weathered and concave on the back surface.Provenance
