Interpretive Notes
There’s no “right” way to look at Richard Meitner’s work. Instead he wants you to choose your own adventure. His surreal combinations evoking scientific instruments, fantastical creatures, and weird vegetation—many of which are concealed by a rusty patina—are designed to spark your imagination and inspire your curiosity.
