Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Estuaries II". Dark and translucent white cast glass, sheet glass, black and gold paint, red clay; assembled. Two-part sculpture consisting of an elongated cast glass figure of a man and a woman whose bodies have been cast in a dark and granular glass. The heads, hands, and feet are cast in translucent white glass. The negative space around the limbs has been painted gold to create contrast with the figures. Each figure stands upon a sheet glass shelf painted black, which is secured to a rectangular red clay panel. The clay panel supporting the male figure is decorated with four columns topped with a triangular pediment with galloping horse; columns situated above a brick foundation. The clay panel supporting the female figure is decorated with a leafless tree supported by a system of roots. (a) Male figure; (b) panel with columns; (c) female figure; (d) panel with tree.
