Physical DescriptionFlask. Lightly bubbled clear glass with yellowish-green hue, decorated with combed opaque-white threading and applied threads of blue glass. Container with ovoid body and tall slender club-shaped “neck” with dumb-bell finial on the closed-in top. Kicked-in base with impalpable pontil-mark, supplemented by two turns of thick thread to form a foot-rim. Applied, almost vertical spout, the orifice with an applied turn of blue thread. A crimped collar of the same glass is laid round the “neck” providing anchorage for an ear-shaped hollow-blown handle. The body is decorated by a continuous spiral of opaque-white threading which has been combed into an arcaded pattern and marvered flush with the surface.Provenance
