Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Sisters". Colorless glass, pinkish-red and white enamel; blown, painted, acid-etched, assembled. Tall colorless cylindrical glass dome fixed atop circular cut glass base; interior of base and interior/exterior of dome decorated with enameled flowering pinkish-red dogwood branches. Cylindrical glass element fixed to base inside outer dome; interior element consists of two young long-haired figures facing one another; a line with a single dogwood blossom is drawn between the figures' mouths. The figures terminate at their waists, which transition into an abstract hexagonal design. Fine threads coated in very small colorless drops descend from top of dome and drape on top of and in between figures. Back half of dome exterior has a matte finish.
