V-shaped brass device with lens on one side and slide stage on the other side; threaded rod inserted through midsection, secured with brass knob. (b) Prepared slide: "Breast plate of a leaf bug". (c) Prepared slide: "Head of a scarab". (d) Prepared slide: "Head of a cistela". (e) Prepared slide: "Tracheal artery of chrysalis of beetle". (f) Custom modern mahogany lidded box.
