Physical DescriptionInstallation, "साँस {Saans} eyes of the skin انس". Blown, mirrored, and cracked glass; silicone, steel, Arduino sensors, electronics, wood. Installation consists of a metal frame covered in a sheet silicone that has been coated in a thin layer of mirrored blown glass shards using an impact crack pattern and Arduino sensors. Behind the silicone, attached to the frame, is a mechanical ‘skeleton’ that ‘breathes’ when activated by the sensors. Over time and by design, the glass cracks will continue to develop, and glass fragments will fall to the floor creating a weathered appearance to the work and reflective patterning on the floor.
