This sculpture illustrates the manipulation of plate glass by Littleton inside the kiln.
Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Distortion Box II". Plate glass, brass, wood; glass slumped inside of a kiln and cut for custom-made brass fitting. Eleven square sheets of plate glass, softened into distorted shapes inside of the kiln, stand on edge on top of a smokey-black rectangular glass base. A brass rod is threaded through the middle of the sheets of plate glass, and secured at each end by a brass cap.
