Physical DescriptionDiatreta Vase. Translucent bubbly extremely heavy colorless "frosted" glass with purple veins; cast; (lost wax process) bulging oval body with flat base and concave rim; around the body a heavy leaf-frieze in open work ("diatreta"), attached partly to the body and partly to two rings at top and bottom, on lower body six vertical ribs with single rosettes in the spaces between the ribs; on the base: "F. Carder 1953".Provenance
