Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Bottle. Transparent yellowish brown and transparent green over colorless. Blown, applied, and cut. Bottle (?): cylindrical. Wall probably vertical (Th. 0.1 cm). Decorated with brown pad (H. at least 2.9 cm, W. at least 3.0 cm, Th. 0.1 cm), below which is minute trace of green overlay. Pad and colorless background are linear-cut. Pad is cut in form of bird seen in profile facing left; beak and front of head are missing; top of head is rounded; short neck is inclined slightly forward; body is roughly triangular with long flat underside and no legs; tail is upright, with plumage spreading forward; junction of neck and body indicated by two parallel cuts; body divided into unequal halves by transverse cut, with groups of parallel cuts on either side; tiny fragment of brown survives 0.3 cm above top of head. Below bird, colorless glass has horizontal row of three contiguous arcs, and other cuts; below this, trace of green overlay.
