Physical DescriptionTranslucent brown over almost colorless with yellowish tinge; brown and especially colorless glasses are bubbly, and colorless glass also has specks of scale. Blown, applied; linear-cut. Fragment of cylindrical cup. Rim plain, with rounded lip; upper wall vertical (TTh. 0.25 cm). Decorated with pad of brown glass (Th. 0.05 cm), which was at least 3.9 cm wide and 2.7 cm deep, and had linear cutting. Pad is too fragmentary to permit identification of motif; upper edge is almost straight and descends gently from right to left; upper edge and bottom have been thinned; surviving area has part of one horizontal cut that reveals colorless base glass. Additionally, one arc-shaped cut crosses pad and extends above upper edge; above and to left of pad is top of one slanting cut. Cuts are shallow and up to 0.3 cm wide.
