Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; translucent brown, pale yellow and opaque white enamels; cut, ground, stacked, kiln-formed--slumped (sheet steel mold), reverse enameled-powdered enamels sifted and manipulated, fired. Low dish with flared walls comprised of a circle of colorless sheet glass backed with three fused "blades" of tapered sheet glass radiating from the center (pointed narrow ends interlock at center of dish), the thickness of the blades pushes in from the back creating a raised tri-part ridge pattern on the interior of the dish; overall exterior of circular sheet has been decorated with granular enamel coloration of brown (fading to perimeter) and yellow (concentrated toward center in between the blades and pushed through to create diagonal rows of colorless dots with brown interiors-possibly enclosing a very small airtrap), exterior of blades are covered with white powder drawn through in a line undulating down the center of each blade; flattened narrow circular base; scratched on back between blades near center: "M.H./L-356".
