Physical DescriptionTransparent aqua non-lead glass; blown, trailed, milled, enameled. Large, ovoid body, with slightly tapered, cylindrical neck; milled, trailed, red-enameled thread below the rim, with white scalloped and dotted band above; yellow, white, blue and red decorative band below; inscribed in a band below, "SPES.MEA. CHRISTTVS 1649", with enameled red, yellow and white bands, and a blue-enameled milled, trailed thread below; the sides with scene of the Annunciation, with Mary at the left, wearing a blue robe, the winged angel at the right; with stylized flowering plants alongside; inscribed "LVCE/AM.I/16/49"; decorative white border below; applied ribbed handle with pincered thumb rest and folded lower terminal; pincered, trailed base ring; concave base with rough pontil mark; inscribed in red paint on the bottom "II 59 17".
