Physical DescriptionColorless glass with yellowish tinge, bubbly; blown with enamel and gilt decoration. Fragment preserves shoulder of a bottle or wall of a bowl, decoration consists of an upper register with gilt inscription, above and below, a wide gilt band outlines the register, thin red lines further elaborate the borders, on the interior, a band of red enamel forms the background for the inscription, below a hooded figure with a cloak, wide-eyed and bearded, virtually a caricature, faces left, a gilt circle outlined with a thin red line elaborates his head, behind him a green leaf with gilt and red outlined foliage forms an arabesque.
